Frequently Asked Questions
As Treehouse Farm, we are very centered around nature and animals. That being said, there are a few key elements we would like to share with our customers!
Use of Plant Materials...
Many of our products are made using dried plant material which we collect locally. All of these materials are sustainably collected, being mindful of the natural ecosystem and each plant's continued growth through our knowledge and expertise on the local species.

With this in mind, there are certain products which are not always in stock on our website. Especially with materials that are harder to source in nature, the last thing we would want to do is take too much from these plants. That being said, we do harvest small amounts to share their beauty with our customers!

We absolutely DO NOT advise anyone to forage wild plants without first doing their own research!
(This is not only for the sake of the native species, it is also for your own safety as there are many plants that can be toxic or have toxic lookalikes)

Use of Animal Materials...
As with plants, many of our products are created by using a variety of materials which came from animals (or insects). All of these materials are collected ethically and sustainably! We DO NOT harm any animals for their use in our products! Materials are found by us while foraging in local woodland areas or while working on our property. (All animal materials are properly cleaned before use)

Most of the animal materials we find are assumed to have passed due to natural causes, we do acknowledge some are the result of local hunting.
We personally do not participate in hunting- that being said, we do fully support those who ethically hunt as it is very important to prevent the overpopulation of certain species. (ie. deer, raccoons, etc.)
